On March 12, vote Ian Flanagan for Selectboard — and for commonsense leadership in Bow
Stability, civility, and commonsense. That’s what I’ll bring to Bow’s Selectboard.
As a lifelong Granite Stater and longtime Bow resident, successful business owner including two restaurants (Flanagan’s South Ender) and rental properties management, and hard working master electrician, I believe I am uniquely positioned to bring real world experience and budget awareness to the Bow Select Board.
My wife and I chose Bow to raise our two kids (currently in 5th and 7th grade) where they benefit from our high quality schools and many athletic programs. We believe that our town is strongest when everyone contributes when they can, so I have been active in the Bow Athletic Club for the last 7 years working to teach kids the value of working together for a common goal.
These combined life experiences give me insight into the needs of Bow residents and an awareness of the real-world impact of decisions by town government. The operational efficiency, strategic business insights, money management, and wise decision-making learned through my work will serve our community well if elected to the Select Board.
My Plan
Economic Growth and Commercial Development: We need to continue expanding our commercial tax base to help relieve the burden that is placed on homeowners.
Community Center: We need a strategic and sensible approach to give the community the best options for our growing community. We need to listen to residents and respond to their needs with a solution that makes sense for the future.
Cell Coverage: For too long we’ve been waiting for coverage, especially in the most critical areas — our schools. This is a safety issue and I will work together with the entire board to resolve.
Effectively Managing and Retaining our First Responders and Town Employees. Having many years of experience as an employer dependent on good employees, I respect and understand the importance of maintaining a positive workplace for hard working people that ensures they stick around.
